Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about DonutStats: player lookups, prices, flips, the Discord bot, the API and how to get in touch.

Is DonutStats run by DonutSMP?

No. DonutStats is an independent fan project. It is not run by, endorsed by or connected to DonutSMP, Mojang or Microsoft.

Is DonutStats free?

Yes. Everything on the website is free to use. The site is supported by ads, and developers who need bulk access can use the paid API plans.

How do I look up a player?

Type a username into the search bar at the top of any page or on the Stats page. Bedrock players have a dot in front of their name on DonutSMP, so include it.

The player profile guide explains everything you will see on a profile.

Why can't I find a player?

Check the spelling first, including the dot for Bedrock players. Players who have never joined DonutSMP do not have stats, and a player who recently changed their name may still show under the old one for a short while.

How up to date is the data?

Most pages update every few minutes and show when they were last updated. Player profiles refresh automatically when you open one that is out of date.

Why did a player's stats or money suddenly drop?

Usually because the server changed them. Banned or punished accounts can have their stats and balance wiped, kills are sometimes reset on their own, and money moves with big trades.

See why stats can suddenly drop for more.

Why does an item have a strange price?

Items with very few listings can show unusual prices because one seller sets the price. Troll listings at absurd prices also exist. Check how many listings an item has and look at its price history before trusting a single number.

The price reading guide covers this in detail.

What is a flip?

A flip is buying an item for less than a buy order pays for it, then delivering it to that order for a profit. The Flips page lists the opportunities that exist right now.

Start with the flipping guide.

Is there a Discord bot?

Yes. The DonutStats Discord bot brings player stats, prices, leaderboards and price alerts into any Discord server.

Add it from the Discord bot page.

Is there an API?

Yes. The DonutStats API gives developers access to player stats, leaderboards, prices, listings and buy orders, with a free plan and paid plans for higher limits.

Read the docs at api.donutstats.io.

Can I ask for my profile to be corrected or removed?

Yes. Email [email protected] with your username and what you would like changed. We may ask you to show that the account is yours before we make the change.

How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?

Email [email protected]. Screenshots and the page address help us fix problems quickly.
