Why the economy matters to you
Prices on DonutSMP do not move in a vacuum. When players are rich, they bid more for gear, spawners and rare items. When money is concentrated in a few hands, a single player can move an entire market. The Economy page gives you the big picture so the prices you see on individual items make more sense.
Money on the baltop
The headline figure is the total money held by everyone on the money leaderboard. It is the best single measure of how much money exists on the server. It grows as players farm and sell, and it shrinks when money leaves the economy, for example through server purchases or when the server removes money from accounts.
Watch the trend rather than single readings. A total that climbs every day means money is being created faster than it is removed, which tends to push prices up over time. A sudden step down that stays down usually means a group of accounts was removed from the leaderboard, often after bans.
How concentrated the money is
The concentration section shows how much of all money sits with the top 10, top 100 and top 1,000 players. On most servers a small group holds a large share, and DonutSMP is no exception.
The inequality score, the Gini coefficient, sums this up in one number between 0 and 1. Zero would mean everyone has the same balance and 1 would mean one player has everything. A rising score means the rich are pulling ahead of everyone else.
The distribution chart groups players by balance, from small accounts up to billionaires and trillionaires, so you can see where a typical player sits and how rare the very top really is.
Money in buy orders
Buy orders lock money aside until someone delivers. The total waiting in orders shows how much demand there is across the whole market right now. Alongside it you will find what orders paid out over the last 24 hours, which tells you how much of that demand actually turned into trades.
A large amount waiting in orders with little paid out means buyers are bidding low and sellers are not biting. A high payout means the market is busy, which is a good time to sell farmed items.
Auction house stock
The auction stock section estimates what everything listed on the auction house would be worth if sold to buy orders, and which items make up the most of it. It is a quick way to see what players are trying to sell in bulk, which often hints at what is being farmed heavily and might get cheaper.
Movers and shard value
Baltop movers lists the players whose balance changed the most recently, both gainers and losers. Big swings usually come from large trades, spawner sales or players moving money between their own accounts.
The shard value compares what shard shop items cost in shards with what the same items sell for in money, giving you a rough money value for one shard. It is useful when you are deciding whether to spend shards or keep them.
Reading the charts over time
The history charts show the economy hour by hour and day by day. Use the hourly view to spot what happened today and the daily view for long term direction. When a chart takes a sudden step, check the movers and the leaderboard: real events, like a wave of bans, show up as a lasting change rather than a dip that recovers.
